Polyoxometalates (POMs) are a unique class of metal–oxygen clusters, Coupled with interesting electrical and optical properties such as electrochromism, photochromism, conductivity, and redox activitities。The molecular nature of POMs and conjugated molecules offers the opportunity to generate covalently bonded molecular hybrids where the interplay between cluster d electrons and organic delocalized p-electrons can be explored at the molecular level. Such materials have drawn tremendous attention in the last decade and have found numerous exciting applications in, light emitting diodes, field-effect transistors, and solid-state lasers.Among the many organic derivatives of POMs, organoimido derivatives have attracted particular interest. We synthesized new polyoxometalate derivation MoW5O18N3C40H81 , and mensurate its structure. Also, Polyoxometalates (POMs) are currently attracting much attention as building blocks for functional composite multilayer films materials. In the present study, we have successfully fabricated the polyoxometalate and Fluorescent Dyes multilayer films via LbL method. For example, PAH(PMo12/NR)8, PAH(PMo12/ST)4 and PAH(PW12/MB)6 multilayer films. We studaied the characters of multilayer films and the fluorescence property. Also,we charactered the light chemistry reaction between polyoxometalate and dyes irradiated under UV light.UV-VIS spectra exhibites the films growing equality.IR spectrum and XPS spectra show there is no obvious light chemistry reaction between polyoxometalate and dyes irradiated under UV light.POMs and deys are still maintained integrallty.AFM exhibits the films is even. The thickness of each layer is about 1.25nm. The AFM images reflect that there are some protuberances on the outer surface layer of the film, which due to the aggregates of spherical structure PMo12. Cyclic Voltammograms reflects the redox potentials of dye in multilayer shifts towards more positive values than pure dye multiplayer which may be explained by charge transfer from dye to POM. Fluorescence spectra show that polyoxometalates caused the fluorescence decay of dyes, which maybe used as fluorescence sensors.
