The paper discusses the general situation of oily waste water, the existing state and characteristics of its pollutants. Most of all, the paper evaluates the developing tendency of the techniques and the urgency problems in this field home and abroad. In the light of the characteristic for oily water that easily emulsified and difficulty descended, the experiments adopt ultrafiltration to deal with the water, investigate the variation law and effect of membrane flux under different conditions. Some conclusions inferred from the experiment of ultrafiltration treating oily waste water include that the removal efficiency of the experiment is so good that the removal rate for oil is 93. 26% and CODCr is 89. 80% which the permeate flow can meet the reinjection standard, the change of the cross-flow velocity has huge effect on the flux under the constant transmembrane pressure, the flux is highly affected by the transmembrane while the cross-flow velocity is fixed, there is a good relationship between membrane flux and temperature which equation is J = 2.31146t-0.5159 and the relevance parameter R2 = 0. 9792, the membrane flux decreases gradually with the increase of the inflow concentration times, and the preteatment flocculation has good function to alleviate membrane fouling. The paper takes intermediate blocking filtration model and cakes blocking filtration model in Field model to speculate the declining regularity of membrane flux and the fouling condition of it in the experiment, to calculate the related parameters and to determine the specific mathematical model of membrane fouling. The result suggests that the preteatment flocculation can change the filtration model from, and the flux in the models have little difference with that of the experiment, which will instruct the following researches. We also carry out experiments on the relevant contributions of membrane resistance during ultrafiltration, and draw the conclusion that the PAN membrane material has little membrane resistance and irreversible one which share 28. 39% and 11. 76% in total resistances. Therefore, in practice, we can choose appropriate membrane according to the contributions. Meanwhile, we analyze the economical properties of ultrafiltration system.
