A kind of boron-silicon-modified phenolics resin, which was synthesized through chemical modification based on boric acid and polyorganosiloxane, was used to prepare the paper base laminate. Then sound-absorbing materials with composite structure were prepared by using the boron-silicon-modified phenolic foam to combine in the surface of paper base laminate. The synthesis and properties of boron-silicon-modified phenolics, the molding technology of laminated board and the combined procession between the laminated board and boron-silicon-modified phenolics foam were studied. At last, the influencing relationship was emphasized among the structure, composition, and sound absorption performance of the sound-absorbing materials with composite structure. It shows that the sound-absorbing materials with composite structure have good sound absorbent properties within the range of medium frequency and low frequency, the average sound-absorbing coefficient is 0.5, which could high to 0.69. Furthermore, the sound-absorbing materials with composite structure have the good properties of fire retardation, heat resistance and heat insulation. In all, the sound-absorbing materials exhibit good comprehensive properties.
