Polymer nanofiber prepared through electrospinning technique developed greatly in recent years. Many papers have been published, more than 30 kind of polymer have been prepared into nanofibers. But there are not so many reports about inorganic-organic hybrid fibers prepared using electrospinning and make this material as precursor to prepare inorganic nanofibers.This paper reports the new development of polyoxometalates and the technique of preparing nanofiber through electrospinning. In this paper we prepared nanofiber mats contained polyoxometalates with pendant surface ligand using electrospinning and sol-gel method, and got pure SiW11Co-P2O7 nanofiber after calcined this precursor , and property has been abecedarian studied.The results of IR, ESR, NMR indicate that PVA was decomposed and the Keggin structure of SiWnCoP2O7/ kept excellently.The SEM photographs indicate that the diameter of SiW11Co-P2O7 fiber is about 200-3 00nm. And XRD result indicates that the fiber mats were amorphous.The effect of vapour and acid to the fiber mats was measured through pervasion method. The colour of pure SiW11CoP2O7; nanofiber changed from red to purple. This phenomenon was affected by the disappear of nanoeffect. The nanofibers turn blue in steam of hydrochloric acid .then slouly become lilac after taken out .this process is reversible but the mechanism is unknow.
