The fluorescent probes are broadly used in biological systems and environmental examination. Due to their marked properties of sensitivity and selectivity, the fluorescent probes become indispensable in analysis and separation. Many indolizines have high fluorescence quantum efficiencies. In this thesis, some indolizines were synthesized by the 1 , 3-dipolarcycloaddition of pyridinium N-ylides with alkenes in the presence of TPCD, their fluorescent properties were studied. The influences of various substitutes for fluorescent properties of indolizines were discussed . Several significant kinds of fluorescent probes were found.1. A series of indolizines carrying ester Group were synthesized, while the fluorescence spectrum and fluorescence quantum yields of the compounds were examined.2. A series of indolizines carrying cyano Group were synthesized, while the fluorescence spectrum and fluorescence quantum yields of the compounds were examined.3. A series of 3-benzoyl-5-ethenyl-indolizine derivatives were obtained, the fluorescence spectrum and fluorescence quantum yields of which were examined. The fluorescent properties of the indolizine derivatives in different solvents were discussed.4. 3-(4-aminophenyl)-indolizine derivatives were synthesized, while the fluorescence spectrum and fluorescence quantum yields of the compounds were examined. The fluorescent properties of the indolizine derivatives in different solvents were discussed. The compounds are sensitive to the PH change at PH2-4. Compound methyl 3-(4-aminophenyl)indolizine -1-carboxylate (3b) is applicable to a fluorescence probe sensing hydrogen ion and nitrite ion.Five new heterocyclic compounds were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1HNMR and MS.
