The control-release technique can control the release rate of a certain active component in the expect time and enable the active component to maintain a given effective concentration in a certain system. The degradable compact cross-linked product was prepared by using modified starch, solvent and crosslinker. The fertilizer can release gradually along with the above-mentioned product. The controlled-release character and formulation of degradable materials, the effect of the amount of solvent and crosslinker, the turn of blend, the different pattern of release were studied. The degradable material is better than others that are reported, its cost is cheap, it is biodegradable and it has no pollution.
