In the area of electroless nickel plating industry, the stability of solution, the thickness and brightness of coating layer are the focuses which bring many difficulties in research, but the above characteristics are very important for the special requirement and use of electroless nickel plating.The objective of this paper is to solve the problem of the stability of solution, the thickness and brightness of coating layer through the stability experiments of PdCl2 and assembled experiments. The morphology was observed using metallographic microscopeo ,scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD).The micro rigidity machine was used in the investigation.Tt is found that the category and dosage of complex agents have much effect on the stability of solution. The multiplex-complex agents is better than simplex-complex agents. The compatibility and acceleration of stabilizers can stabilize the solution. But the category of complex agents and stabilizers should be arranged in reason.The layer of 0.99mm can be obtained by changing the concentration and pH value of plating solution and meanwhile, The micro rigidity of thick coating layer was higher than that of normal coating layer about 50% in normal conditions. But low temperature heat treatment made the micro rigidity lower. The reason was discussed.The bright coating layer was obtained and the best solution components were achieved by feeding compounding brightener into the routine solution of electroless nickel plating. And the mechanism of brightener was analyzed in this paper.
