In recent years,organic-inorganic nanocomposites have attracted great interests from scientists. This new type of composites exhibit properties far superior to those of separate components.Which makes them widely used in many field. An effective approach of preparing organic/inorganic composites is intercalation, which polymer are intercalated between sheets of inorganic materials such as montmorillonite(MMT). In this paper, Polyacrylonitrile / montmorillonite nanocomposites were synthesized by in-situ intercalation .The structure and properties of the composites were investigated,we obtain kinds of significance conclusion. In this paper, Our work includes three main parts:l.The adsorption of CTAB on the Na-montmorillonite and the adsorption kineticThe adsorption of CTAB on the Na-MMT in different initial concentration CTAB aqueous solution is studied , and it was found that the bonding between CTAB and Na-MMT was in accordance with the Freundlich isotherm. The reaction order was determined by infinite similar calculus ,based on the relationship between the adsorption time and the concentration of CTAB . To determine reaction rate constants ( k) , the adsorption of CTAB of 0. 010 mol ? L(-1)( initial concentration) on Na-MMT was also studied at different temperature-According to the correlation of k with the temperature and Arrhenius equation, the activation energy was obtained. The results indicate that the adsorption kinetics accorded with the character of the three order reaction : with the reaction rate equation being C = C0 ekt , the equation of reaction rate constant k = 5.71 X 10-6eEa/RT , and the activation energy Ea= -8.018KJ/mol.2.The Synthesis and Characterization of Org-MMTwe prepared Org-MMT using different intercalating reagents by an ion-exchange reaction. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and FT-IR showed that organic group had intercala-teed into montmorillonite and the basal spacing of silicate layer was increased greatly from 1.0 run to several nm. The effect of different intercalating reagents on the structure of montmorillonite is different. For a certain type of intercalatin greagent, the basal spacing of organic-modified montmorillonite is increased with the length of the alkyl group in intercalating reagents.3.The Synthesis and Characterization of Polyacrylonitrile/MMT NanocompositesPolyacrylonitrile /MMT nanocomposites were synthesized through In-Situ interc alated polymerization by using acrylonitrile monomer, XRD were used to analysis thestructure of nanocomposites . thermal character were investigated by TG and DTA. The results showed that nanocomposites had a special structure in which montmorillo nite is dispersed homogeneously in Polyacrylonitrile in nanoscale leading to better properties than original polymers.
