The structure and properties of LDH have been designed. The influence of preparation conditions on LDH' s crystalline structure has been studies by changing preparation method, aging time, Mg/Al ratio of precipitant. It is found that a new method we used is much better than the traditional method. The higher the ratio of Mg/Al, the larger the layer space. The motivation of modifying LDH by stearic acid is to distributed LDH resin more evenly. The experiment resume that the grain of modified LDH don't collect together and can be distributed evenly in PVC resin. When HC1 was blow through LDH, by the result of XRD, we resumed that the anion Cl-entered into the layers and replaced the interlayer anion CO32", and the kinetic equation and anion-exchange energy were calculated. When LDH was put into acid solution,(HCl,HNO3, H2SO4 etc.)(Ph=4-6), due to LDH' s surface basicites and the chemical adsorption took place very easily via the result of XRD. The Kinetic equation and adsorption energy were calculated. So it is possible that LDH can be used as PVC stabilizers and antacids. When studied memory effect of LDO, it is found that anion can enter into the layer during rearranging the layer. So, it is possible that LDO can be used as adsorbent of CO2. After the product were calcined, it can be regenerated.Due to the larger surface area of LDO, it can be used as tar absorbent in cigarette.
