The petroleum industry has been the most important factor of the world economy. Corrosion not only make a lot of loss of the oil, but also pollute the circumstance, its seriously influence the petroleum industry. So many methods were made to reduce the damage by the corrosion, such as surface coating, impressed current cathodic protection and sacrificial anode protection. The third generation rare earth permanent magnet NdFeB appearance is made it possible to protect the pipeline by the magnet.The corrosion behavior of oil waste water pipeline by the magnet is investigated in this paper. Under the circumstance of simulated the oil waste pipelines, five consanguineous influences were measured, including pH, electrical conductivity, electrode potential, oxygen content and temperature. At the same time, the methods of X-ray diffraction, SEM and electrochemical have been adopted to appraise the corrosion behavior of the magnet on the oil waste water pipelines.The results of experiment show: (1) The magnet can make pH ascend and reduce the corrosion tendency; (2) The corrosion coating on the pipeline's inner surface easily fall off with the oxygen content ascending, it isn't benefit to generate the solid protective coating, and harmful to the protection of corrosion; (3) With the magnet ascending, the Fe3O4 content increase and the anti-corrosion behavior rise. When the magnet is 1700 Gauss, the Fe3O4 content is most high, the surface coating is solider and better to the anti-corrosion. When the magnet exceed 1700 Gauss, the Fe3O4 content descend and the anti-corrosion behavior decrease too;(4) It discovers that the magnet can produce magnetic-induced overpotential through the polarization curve. If the oxygen isn't added, the magnetic-induced overpotential make the self-corrosion potential ascending, the corrosion tendency descend; if the oxygen is added, the oxygen and magnetic-induced overpotential make the self-corrosion potential descending, the corrosion tendency ascend.It can decrease the cost, easily build and reuse by making use of magnet to anti-corrosion,so it is an effective way to enhance the anti-corrosion.
