The shaft alignment and the concentric between the parts are very important process in assembling; also it's the key to ensure the quality of installation and repairing. According to the experience, quite a number of the machine damage is caused by the misalignment. Thus, alignment is the absolutely necessary key to reduce the machine damage, prevent or eliminate the sudden trouble and save the maintenance time.With the development of petrochemical industry, the unit's shafting become longer and heavy, and most of the machine are the type of fission. So, it's very urgent job that using the collimation technic to take all the part in their position and thus reduce the after installation work.The laser beam by small size semiconductor laser groupware, which is no flexibility, little radiation angle and high lightness, etc. Based on these characteristics, the use of laser alignment and collimation become more and more wide.Aside, the unit installation time is delayed because of relative complex calculation and the repeating adjustment caused by the calculating error when using the dia-indicater on the field.The purpose of my paper is to develop the portable instrument that can calculate to align on the field by using the dia-indicater and at the same time has the function of laser alignment/collimation. By studying all the arithmetic, this paper provide the laser alignment arithmetic that can resolve the problem, that is, the two shafts couldn't rotate synchronouslyoand the rotating angle below 180 which often see in large size machine installation. According to the instance on the field, this paper give a layout to the instrument, study the relative parts and select the suitable parts, design the instrument hardware and write program for it. At last, test the sample detector's precision.
