It is popular that the draw frames are equipped with the auto-leveling control system which fiinctions are testing and controlling the regularity of drawing sliver in the drawing process. The auto-leveling open loop controlling system with high-speed, high-production and high- mechanical and electronic integration is studied in this thesis.This paper introduces the basic knowledge of the control system, analyzes its developing trend and elaborates its control principle. The control system is designed by using M16C/80 series 16 bit single chip microcomputer made by Mitsubish Company in Japan as the CPU. The yarn irregularities are tested by using of concaved rollers in thiscontrol system; the speed of front rollers controlled by the main motor can be obtained by the speed measuring unit, then the speed signal is sent to CPU; the speed of the back rollers controlled by the AC servo motor can be changed with the regulating signal sent by the CPU, so that the draft ratio of the drawing frame can be changed and the yarn irregularities can be decreased in this way.The control system is divided into such units as M16C/80 microcomputer, main motor controlling, AC servo motor controlling, constant length sampling, yarn thickness testing, the main motor speed measuring, operating buttons, instructing light and man-machine interface.A new principle of hardware designing, methods of software designing and some advanced control arithmetic are developed in this paper.
