The article designs experimental device of testing loose coal through adopting general Hot Wire Method (parallel) theory in international standardization, and tests repeatability different particular sizes and water partial coal in the thirteenth seam coal of Huainan Xieqiao mine. Based on the theories of numerical heat and mass transfer, fluid dynamics in porous medium, computational mathematics and so on, the mathematics models are set up, and steady and unsteady state are simulated in the position of possibly coming into being fire source in excavate coal area. According to the simulation results, the position of fire source and the position of the highest temperature in the wall of return airway have a very small change with the increase of oxidation time and fire source temperature. The function relation of them can be get utilizing the linear regression principle in statistics. Finally, a conclusion is gotten that the technology of applying temperature field method to obtain the position of fire source in excavate coal area is feasible, and showing some brief measures about the method.
