By means of the technology of emulsification and reconciliation, the coal-based compound fuel oil is studied, which is mainly made with coal tar ( including the mid-temperature and high-temperature coal tar), water, coal and some additives. This fuel can overcome the problems of coal-oil mixture ( COM for short) and coal-water mixture ( CWM for short) on combustion and transport. As the coal tar is produced from coal, the technique can substitute coal for oil completely. And it can be indicated that it is very important not only on economy but environment safeguard.Firstly, the techniques of emulsification and reconciliation is introduced in the dissertation. It has been indicated from the experiments that the reconciliation oil, acquired with the two techniques can be substituted for heavy-oil to used on oil-burn boiler. And it can reduce viscosity effectively and solve the combustion problems, such as the bright fire, the nozzle sintering and the black smoke because of incomplete combustion. In addition, the acid oil drag, which is the waste of acid refining craftwork of the lubricating oil, has been made into fuel oil by reconciliation. As the result, not only it can prevent the pollution from burying , but considerable economic benefit can come with it.Secondly, based on the emulsified coal tar, the coal-based compound fuel oil is made up and it can substitute coal for oil completely. Of course, the proper majority of coal powder (no bigger than 50um on diameter) is needed and the additives is adjusted. In addition, the system of the compound fuel oil is more stable with the coal powder. Because of the limited time, further research is needed for the appliance of the coal-based compound fuel oil.At last, the appliance of Reconciliation oil and the research of the coal-based compound fuel oil are reviewed. The contrast test was made on an industrial boiler between heavy-oil and emulsified coal tar, and it was compared on the heat efficiency and emission of the two oil. Based on the results, reconciliation oil can be used as substitute for heavy-oil as fuel oil on oil-burn boiler. Besides, the produce and deposit system which fitted the characteristic of the reconciliation oil are designed in the dissertation.
