The fuming furnace is an important smelt equipment in metallurgy industry. It is widely used to treat zinc mines with low quality and certain metallurgical wastes, such as cuprum residue and stannum residue etc. the operation method of it is manual work. The work intensity is large. The work circumstance is scurviness. The reclaiming rate of product is low and the expend of energy sources is high. In the judge of smelt end-point, the stability of product quality is not ensured because the subjective effect. So it is necessary to combine the experience of workers and computer technology that can form the operation of standardization and intelligentize, heighten the efficiency of production and reduce the labor intensity of works.The information of single sensor is insufficiency to realize the judge of smelt end-point. The smelt end-point is straight connection with the capacity of raw material, the time of smelt, adding coal capacity, the temperature in the furnace and the character of blaze. So the paper will realize the judge of smelt end-point by using multi-sensor data fusion technology.There are many ways of data fusion. Using distinct way bases on vary conditions. The paper adopt BP neural network arithmetic because the process of smelt is non-linear one and cannot be established by accurate math way.The paper is mostly about with simulation learn for fusion system. It has gained the neural network structure and the train arithmetic after many trains. The result of fusion is satisfactory in a sort of way. In the last, the paper brings forward the elementary design of data fusion system.
