Residual stress can arise in materials in almost step of processing,drastic change of temperature and plastic deformation. As a major factor that influences the quality and service life of materials, the measurement ,control and reduction of residual stress is an important problem in the field of materials processing . Residual stress in explosive welding interface is mainly researched in this paper.Technology particularity of explosive welding has analyzed from the aspect of its theorem , characteristic , application in the thesis . Theoretical analysis on the yielding explosive welding residual stress is also studied . In this paper , systematical studies are carried out on technologies of residual stress measurement , which are widely used in engineering . On the basis of analysis , the author adopts theappropriate method , measuring the residual stress ,——hole-drilling , which is oneof the mechanical release method . The principle of the hole-drilling method stands in the strain gauge measurement of strain connected with the residual stress relaxation due to the drilling of a small hole to the material surface . Then the residual stress is evaluated . Through the experiment plan , residual stress in Cu -Al composite plate that is obtained in all kinds of technological parameters of explosive welding is tested . The experiment concludes that the strain state in the interface of explosive welding composite plate is tensile state,which conforms to the theory . On the other hand , it is proved that the hole-drilling method is feasible .The relations between residual stress at the explosive welding interface and the detonation quantity , the clearance in explosive welding , the explosive's basement are analyzed. It is helpful for the change of the technological parameters of explosive welding and the improvement of the products. While the base plate is aluminium, the covered plate is pure copper, the explosive's detonation quantity is 1.0g/cm~2,the clearance in explosive welding is 5mm,and the basement is completely dry sand , the residual stress value is the lowest . The max value is 315.9MPa .In oder to know the quality of explosive welding compound board from many aspects, conventional mechanics performance experiments have made.Under above-mentioned technology parameter , the tensile strength of Cu-Al compositeplate is 127 MPa, shear strength has reached 117.5 MPa, which achieved the minimum use standard. After the inside bend test and outside bend test experiment in 180°, the composite plate surface is flawless , combines interface have not stratified.This paper has analyzed some problems and difficulties in the experiment , putting forward the method of solution ,showing clearly goal for later research and development.
