Carbon nanotube, as a new material was discovered in 1991. It was usually looked as a hollow tube, rolled up by 2D graphite. It has attracted many science workers because of its marvelous properties. Growth of well-aligned carbon nanotube array based on knowledge of chemistry, physics, microelectronics and others. More importantly, the highly-ordered and isolated carbon nanotube array films over large areas could be very useful in a variety of applications, including high-density data storage and vacuum microelectronic devices, such as microwave power amplifier tubes as well as field emission display .There are main aspects in the master dissertation, the fabrication and properties of porous anodic alumina film as well as growth carbon nanotube by pyrolysis methane through CVD(Chemical Vapor Deposition)The mechanism of oxidization and experimental parameters were systematically analyzed. High orderly hole was observed by SEM and AFM. The relation between anodic oxidization voltage and the diameter of hole , anodic oxidization time and the depth of hole were studied. The form of porous alumina film was contributed to self-organization. The oxidization voltage and the diameter of hole was proportional. The depth of hole gradually increased with the extend of oxidization time.The Photoluminescence of porous alumina film was explained by energy level scheme. The mechanism of light emission was attributed to local structure caused by unbalance of Al and 0 together with involvement of C2O42' during oxidization process.The better experimental condition of growth carbon nanotube by CVD was determined. The proportionment of ingredient in catalyst and roast temperature of catalyst were discussed. A good method of preparation catalyst was obtained. Groth temperature, growth time, flowing velocity of gas and ratio of all kinds of gases were discussed. In conclusion, a better condition for carbon nanotube growth was obtained. The mechanism of growth was elucidated.The method of purification was studied. Particles of carbon and catalyzer were eliminated by hydrochloric acid and nitric acid respectively. Different consistency of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid were used. Raman Spectrum of sample was analyzed, which demonstrate there are many defect.
