Porphyrins is a general term of the homologue and derivative of porphine with substituting groups at the outside ring, becoming metalloporphyrins promptly after two protons on its nitrogen are replaced by the metal ion. Porphyrins and metalloporphyrins exist in the animals and plants extensively and have special physiological activation, such as ferroheme, chlorophyll, vitaminB12 and cytochrome P-450. Because its molecule has rigidity and flexibility, electron impact absorption, photoelectric magnetic and highly chemical stability, someone was engaged in the research of chemistry of porphyrins as far back as the 1930s. They have already been extensively used as optical conductor, semiconductor, superconductor, catalyst, anticancer drugs and developer now. In recent years, the research field with great scientific meaning and extensive prospect causes the interests of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, material chemistry, medical science and biologist more and more extensively. Relevant cross discipline branches are developing.Porphyrins and metalloporphyrins have extensive applications in a lot of fields, such as analytical chemistry, medical science, material and catalysis. They can be used in bionic simulation in catalysis, which is a focus research now.In organism, cytochromeP-450 is monooxygenase including ferroheme. It can turn the alkane into the alcohol and the alkene into the derivative of ethylene oxide in air at room temperature by its catalysis. A large number of results of study show that the metalloporphyrins are all good catalysis in turning the alkene into the derivative of ethylene oxide, the alkane into the alcohol and oxidizing the aldehyde etc. So we can simulate cytochrome P-450 with metalloporphyrins. The research not only helps people to find out the catalysis mechanism of cytochrome P-450 but also has extensively applied prospects in organic synthesis and medical science. In 1979, Groves reported a simple simulation system of cytochromeP-450. They used...
