Carbon nanotubes were synthesized by themal chemical vapour deposition.TEM, SEM,XRD,Raman and TG-DTA were used to characterize carbon nanotubes.The results indicated that the concentration of carbon nanotubes, the shape of outcome and the crystallization of carbon nanotubes were influenced by preparation temperature, H2 flow rate, the concentration of thiophene and the quantity of ferrocene.At last, the better condition of carbon nanotubes synthesized by themal chemical vapour deposition was that the prepatation temperature was 1155℃,. H2 flow rate was 380ml/min, the concentration of thiophene was 1%(volume) and the quantity of ferrocene was lg .Carbon nanotubes were dipped in the strong muriatic acid, and were purified.Then carbon nanotubes were calcined in muffle at the temperature of 400 ℃ for 1 hour. TEM, XRD and Raman were used to characterize carbon nanotubes purified.Its results indicated that amorphous carbon , catalyzer particles and graphite particles were gotten rid of .And the crystal of carbon nanotubes purified was better.Y2O3/carbon nanotubes particles was prepared with the method of chemical liqid deposition.SEM , EDS , XRD and FTIR were used to characterize Y2O3/carbon nanotubes particles.The results showed that Y2O3 particles were coated completely on the surface of carbon nanotubes.DTA was characterized the themal decomposition of AP in the present of Y2O3/carbon nanotubes particles and Y2O3 nanoparticles and to charaterize the thermal decomposition of AP in the different quantity of Y2O3/carbon nanotubes particles.The results indicated that Y2O3/carbon nanotubes particles and Y2O3 particles had the catalytic effect on the themal decomposition of AP.The catalytic performance of Y2O3/carbon nanotubes particles was superior to that of Y2O3 nanoparticles.When the quantity of Y2O3/carbon nanotubes particles was 4%, the catalytic effect of Y2O3/carbon nanotubes particles was best .And the peak temperature of high temperature decomposition of AP with Y2O3/carbon nanotubes particles decreased 169.1 ℃.
