Poly-lactide is one of the generally acknowledged biodegradable macromolecular materials .Through experiments, it was proved to have the properties of good biodegradability, bio-compatibility and strength. So it is usually used as a degrading material for bone fixing, surgical seam and artificial skin, esc. In recently years, it is also being tried to use in medical control release system. The paper studied on a method to make control release poly(L-lactide)or poly(D,L-lactide) particles from the monomer L-lactide or D,L-lactide and nanomagnetic Fe3O4 as main components, in presence of initiator by suspension polymerization. The paper studied the influences of disperse phase ratio, quantity of dispersant, quantity of initiator on the size of the poly-lactide particles.Poly-lactide particles were synthesized through suspension polymerization. The structure and properties of the polymers have been studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and X-ray diffraction. Results indicated that those polymers were exactly the object product. The poly-lactide particles have an average diameter from 10 to 100 microns, and their melting points are from 140 to 150 centigrade. The control release particles are a little bigger, and their melting points are from 50 to 70 centigrade.
