China is a big country of producing steel and steel consumption , the steel producing play the important strategic role in the national economic development of our country. The steel trade is our big energy consumers, on one hand our country is short of energy very much, the industrial energy utilization ratio of our country is relatively low on the other hand. Among iron and steel enterprise, Heating furnace is the important equipment of hot-rolled production line, consuming a lot of energy. So in its control and production management, our task is urgent and have bright prospects.To steel manufacturing enterprise , it is very important to control surface temperature and inside temperature in the course of heating of steel slab, it will influence the process that follow-up and final product quality of the steel t directly. In the long time of past, the main way to monitor slab temperatures field is by values of temperatures transducer and experiences of human, this way is not, claiming much work, low efficiency and over-depended on experience,the quality of product will be affected in the end. So, to take the more effective measure for monitoring and controlling become an important research direction. Visual technology gets considerable development and have better application in a lot of project fields in recent years. Because the temperature measurement for the moment cannot measure the slabs' inside temperature that are being heated . We adopt visual technology to visualize slab temperatures field.We use the knowledge of heat transfer to build the mathematics model of the surface-temperature field of the slabs by modeling method of the neural network; using Divide with limited difference law set up steel slab inside-temperature field model. The experimental data indicates that the model can predict the temperature fieldOn the basis of visual technology and mathematics model set up, the paper apply AVS/Express to visualize slab temperature field in the form of the same-temperature Surface, thus approach the way of people accept information, so it achieve bettercontrol effect. By the research of transforming volume data in the slab temperature field to visual image , The paper provide an effective way of changing volume data which come from model computing into visual image, it has great value in engineering.
