The ammonia nitrogen content of waste water from synthetic ammonia industries is special (600- 1000mg/l), the organic matter which the Chemical Oxygen Demand composed by is complicated and difficult to be biochemistry degraded, and the content ratio of carbon and nitrogen is improper, all of above are the reasons which cause the waste water of synthetic ammonia industries not easy to be denitrificated by physical chemistry method (the content is too low) and also difficult to be denitrificated by biochemical method (the content is too high, the carbon source is insufficient and inferior). This problem has been perplexing the industrial waste water treatment field for a long time. To resolve the problem of the synthetic ammonia industries waste water's ammonia nitrogen pollution, this thesis has explored these tests: the electrochemical pretreatment, oblique hair zeolite adsorbent bed, shallow blowing and taking off pool and One grade of denitrification of IBAF etc. some of those technologies has been applied to treatment practice.The experiment and practice results show: to the waste water from large-scale comprehensive synthetic ammonia chemical enterprises (containning some carbon source), adopting one grade immobilized microbial demtrification BAP is feasible and economic, COD and NH3-N can drop from 2335mg/l, 835mg/l to 57 mg/1 and 2.2mg/l , on terms that using the biologic fungus products and under the IBAF (immobilized biological aeration filter) treatment for 90h.,the calculating value of the operation expenses is relatively low;ammonia nitrogen waste water from small-scale synthetic ammonia enterprises (nearly no biochemical carbon source) is comparatively single, adoptting shallow pool and oblique hair zeolite adsorbent bed can realize the discharge up to standard.,but the operation cost is too high,when NH3-N i content is 600mg/l, adjusting pH to 10.5 , the treatmen time of shallow blowing pond is 8h, ratio of air and water is 30:1 ,the removal ratio of ammonianitrogen can be up to 90%, the output pH will be about 9.,oblique hair zeolite has good alternative absorbing ability to ammonia nitrogen in various range of pH, but the absorb capacity is lower than theory value and the recycle resoult is not ideal,which causes the economic rationality is relatively bad.
