It is so called product oil batched transportation within a pipeline while different kinds of oil are transported continuously following a certain batch and order. Transportation product oil with pipeline is the most economic, secure and effective way existed. The design work of product oil pipeline is greatly different from that of crude oil pipeline, which is mostly existed in pipeline's batched transportation, transportation circle, optimization of oilcan's cubage and oil mixture's management, etc.Within a product oil batched transportation pipeline, the less the transportation circles are and the more the transportation sum of each kind of oil, the less the mixed oil segment and oil mixture loss will form. However, oil's producing and consumption are usually balanced. Each day, every kinds of oil are produced and consumed, so batched transportation is intermittent for each oil kind. The less the transportation circles are, the bigger the storage oilcan areas are needed at the pipeline's start and final point and the oil output and input point along the pipeline so as to balance the imbalance of oil's producing, consumption and transportation, thus increases the oilcan areas' construction and run fee. So, the optimum transportation circle should be decided from the two aspects of the fee cost by construction and run of oilcan areas and the depreciation loss of oil mixture.The design work of a product oil batched transportation pipeline should be started from selecting the suitable diameter of pipeline according to the transportation sum and the basic technical parameters of start and final station, output station and the pumping station, simultaneity considering the pipeline should be adapted to the changes of requirement sum of different seasons. After that, the optimization work is only related to the transportation order, method of managing the oil mixture and the settings of oilcans. During the optimization, we should calculate the oilcan cubage of the start station, output oil deposit and the final station according to different transportation circle, and calculate the oil mixture sum and the management fee according to transporting sequence, then finally decide the optimum transportation circle and the cubage of oilcans.This article takes the Lan-Cheng-Yu product oil transportation pipeline as an example, describing the idea of product oil batched transportation's transportation circle and oilcan cubage optimization design. That is to adopt trial and error method, which contracts only those could affect the optimization result and forgets the other aspects of the pipeline. Within the design life of the pipeline, the method's dynamic economic analysis is taken to decide the optimum transportation circles and the total oilcan cubage needed for the whole line.This article gives a calculating program based on the convection- pervasion model of oil while mixing with another kind and combined with the effective pervasion coefficient with a certain formula.
