Natural gas is clean energy and has a high quality. It plays a very important role in improving structure of energy, alleviating relations between energy supply and demand, and increasing environmental quality. So it is generally considered as a kind of new alternative energy in 21 century. According to developmental goal of natural gas industry, consummate pipe network of gas will be constructed in the coming of 10 years. However, gas production and state of pipeline have an influence on piping transportation of gas. Learning from foreign countries and draw on their experience of gas transportation, a system called underground natural gas storage needs building to adjust the transportation of gas when in the peak.Underground natural gas storage is a place used to store natural gas under the ground and has become a save and reliability technology of natural gas storage. It means that natural gas is injected into the formation of high porosity and high permeability using compession pump, then natural gas can be quickly withdrew once again when needed. Utilizing underground natural gas storage can optimize the system of gas supply, adjust non-equilibrium of gas usage and ensure meeting an emergency and nationally strategic natural gas storage.Lamadian underground storage of gas oil-bearing structure is the first storage reconstructed from gas cape reservoir. Because of complicated reservoir type, construction of storage is more difficult. This article starts with investigating and studying the foreign and national technology of underground natural gas storage, summarizes the conditions that Daqing oil field is the appropriate place to build the underground natural gas storage in and uses fuzzy mathematics to optimize, then chooses the Lamadian gas oil-bearing structure, Lijiaweizi water-bearing structure, Chao51 gas -bearing structure and 4 Station gas-bearing structure that is suitable to be reconstructed the underground natural gas storage. What is more, geological assessments in these aspects such as structure, reservior, cap formation, stock and so on are respectively made. On the basis of absorbing and drawing on the foreign technology and experience of constructing underground natural gas storage, applying gas engineering,numerical simulation and so on, design approach of underground natural gas storage are worked out and economic assessment on injection-production effect are deeply researched. According to this study, the underground natural gas storage in Lamadian reconstructed from gas oil-bearing structure has been twice built on. Now injection -production capability is 1.5xl08m3. This can effectively solve non-balanced gas usage due to great difference in temperature seasonally in Daqing oil field. Also, this creates the conditions of inviting natural gas from the Russia, and generate great economical and social effect.
