Ethyl Acetate Catalytic System,

Ethyl acetate is one of the most important chemical solvents;nowadays it has a very large demand quantity in the whole world, especially in China. Now many factories in China want to enlarge their throughput, and they almost use the simplest way to synthesize the ethyl acetate, which is etherified by the ethanol and the acetic acid in the presence of the catalyst.My project is using the special chemical software, which is called Aspen Plus, to do the stimulation for the whole process, in order to increase the percentage of the esterification. And we can compare the results at a standard environment, and then we could tell the differences between each catalyst.My project had collected a great deal of data during the 100 years, and analyzed the research situation. We only found a few useful data with kinetics, now we mainly discuss the silica gel, the Pu CT-179 resin and the Macroporous Sulfonated Styrene-Divinylbenzene Resin, and then compare them with the standard esterification in the presence of the vitriol. We got many important results in the end.
