It aims at the bolt supporting characteristics of coal drifts and the development demands in Liu Qiao 1st mine coal. By the mechanical parameters testing and analysis of coal and rock, the optimization basis on artificial neural network and expert system (ANN-ES), the numerical simulation of computer, the analysis of theory, the paper systemically and deeply studied on the bolt supporting characteristics of coal drifts. The paper adopts the dynamic state design for workings coal drifts to dynamic pressure to design the bolt supporting of 4th and 6th coal seams' gates in the -600m level. Analysis and research show that the stability of coal drift' supporting-surrounding rock are affected by the mining condition and technology, the mechanics of coal and rocks, and the shape and parameters of support. Local applications indicate that the design method basis on qualitative and quantitative analysis on these factors is reasonable and feasible. The production furnish the theory gist of the bolt supporting of coal drifts, especially preserving coal pillar in the condition of gob-side driving and workings coal-drifts to dynamic pressure, and improve the maintenance of gateway and the conditions of safety production. It will provide some available references for other similar roadway supporting.
