The environmental pollution problem, caused by chromium(VI), is becoming more and more serious, especially the emission of wastewater containing chromium( VI ) in chemical industry, mining, metallurgy, electroplating and shipbuilding etc, has become the primary pollution. Chromium( VI ) , high toxicity, and harmly to human's health and environment.As a matter of fact, there are more or less disadvantages to the presented common treatment methods of Cr ( VI ) . Especially when the concentration of Cr (VI) is under 100mg/L, it is impossible to remove Cr (VI ) completely. Bioabsorption, as an creative new technology to treat wastewater with heavy metal, have incomparable advantages, such as environment-friendly, efficient and cost-effective. In this paper, a kind of fungus WWG, with good microbial absorbing and removing property to chromium(VI), has been obtained by careful select from the collected fungus in Yunnan. Consequently, a series of studies on cultural conditions and processing-parameters were done. The process- mechanism, biosorption dynamics and the isothermal process of was strongly investigated.The results show that, the ability of WWG biosorbent removal chromuim(VI) was raised when the fungus was adapted domesticate. The optimal cultivation condtion of the fungus as the follow: dissolvable amylum as carbon resource, ( NH4) 2SO4 as nitrogen resource , pH value of 7 and 25℃ . The rate of water to carbon and nitrogen in cultivated liquor is1000 : 10 : 1.The removal ability of chromium(VI) is raised when the biosorbent was pretreatment by NaOH(0.1 mol/1). The most important facotr to chromium( VI ) removal is the pH of wastewater. The optimal processing-parameters of WWG biosorbent removal chromium( VI ) isfollow:25"C, pH value of 2.0 and the usage amount of biosorbent is 5g per 200ml wastewater. WWG biosorbent have good removal ability to chromuim(VI) in fix bed reactor.The mechanism of WWG biosorbent removal chromium( VI ) is biosorption and bio-deoxidize. The dynamics process of WWG biosorbent removal chromium(VI) tally with Two-stage equation, and Langmuir model adequately to predict the isothermal process.
