The Science and economy of our country will get further development in 21 century. A lot of fields especially aerospace, war industry and electron and Automobile and their development undoubtedly demand for light, high performance materials. This paper prepares 10wt%, 15wt% and 20wt%SiCp/Al composites adopting CIP-proliferation sintering in vacuum position-hot pressing process. The microscopic organization was analyzed. The HB hardness, stretch performance and abrasiveness were measured, and compared with pure aluminum.Metallographic organization photograph shows that, in the composites by powder metallurgy processing, SiC particles evenly distribute and have no obvious assemble phenomenon.Hardness results show that the HB hardness of composites is higher than aluminum obviously and with the increase of SiC particles content, HB hardness value also increases. The results of tensile test show that, yield strength and tensile strength of SiCp/Al composites is higher than that of aluminum; The tensile rates of composites are lower than aluminum, along with the increase of SiC particles content, the tensile rates of composites reduce.Wear test results show that, the SiCp/Al composites have fine wear ability than pure aluminum. Under oil-lubricated condition, the wear ability of composites is higher than aluminum matrix and with the increase of SiC particles content, wear ability increases. Wear surface microscopic analysis shows that: the wear mechanism of pure aluminum is plough wear; The wear mechanisms of 10wt% and 20wt%SiCp/Al composites both are the combination of plough wear and oxidation wear; The wear mechanism of 15wt%SiCp/Al composites is mainly plough wear and oxidization wear assisted.
