Semi-solid Metal Process, which make use of well flowing character within semisolid phase section during transformation from solid state to liquid state, or from liquid state to solid state, displays much more superiority than common used forming method, and is considered as one of the most promising material processing technology.Different induction heating parameters used to treat with white cast iron has been made in this paper. The process to prepare the semisolid cast iron slurry was also investigated, which includes study of the relationship between solid volume percentages, shape, distribution and size of the microstructures in slurry, carbon equivalence(CE) in cast iron, and heat processing parameters within double phase section of solid and liquid. Results gained in heat simulation shows that, deformation resistance in semisolid cast iron billet was determined by the heating temperature within double phase section, comparative quantity and appearance of solid austenite. Under condition of a defined reheating temperature, cast iron billet with a certain C_E corresponds to a minimum deformation resistance. The resistance of C_E3.0 carbon iron billet is 1.6MPa in the temperature of 1200 ℃.Via analyzing the annealing process condition to semisolid cast iron and the observation of microstructures, the evolution mechanism of the semisolid organization was discussed, and the effect of graphite annealing to the mechanic properties of semisolid cast iron plank was also researched. The results shows, with the increase of deformation amount, the strength and the plasticity of cast iron plank enhanced after annealed. The strength of Ce3.0 cast iron after annealed is as high as 427MPa and the elongation is about 14%, which is great improved compared to the cast iron annealed without semisolid process.
