As a new type of engineering material , the low-carbon ductile can be used in the fields of mainly requiring anti-wear at the same time requiring high mechanic ability. This article mainly studied two kinds of low-carbon ductile iron surface-treatment methods: normal cast—infiltration technology and laser alloying technology.In this thesis we used two types of low-carbon ductile as the basal of low-carbon ductile cast—infiltration, one is as-cast high-toughness pearlitic low-carbon ductile, the other is as-cast high-strengthen pearlitic low-carbon ductile. During the study, we do many works . we use many iron-alloys as cast—infiltration powder. Through investigation we draw a conclusion that we can get alloy layer with the method of the normal cast—infiltration in the surface of low-carbon ductile when we used proper selected alloying powder. The hardness of the cast—infiltration layer can obtained to 58(HRC) and the combination between the layer and basal is very strong . The anti-wear capability has been improved.We also studied the mechanism of cast—infiltration and investigate the melting process of difficult melting alloy. The process is a kind of complex process . the surface of difficult melting powder takes advantage of the heat to let the powder surface melt, decompose, diffuse and at last form liquid.In this paper, we also discussed the influence of laser to low- carbon cast-iron .through many experiment, we draw a conclution: laser alloying treatment can greatly increase the hardness of the low-carbon ductile iron.
