Methanol is a kind of important organic industrial chemicals. Its output is second only to ethylene, propylene and benzene in industrially developed countries, occupying the fourth place. The treatment, retrieval and utilization of methanol industry effluent is a challenge topic in water treatment field. This needs to launch oriented experiment and research within certain time limit, offer reliable scientific basis for commercialization of this technology. This thesis adopt biochemistry, chemistry desalt, electrolysis to treat methanol wastewater, having carried on the lab scale, pilot scale and industrialization. The characteristic of effluent after treatment are as following: COD≤15mg/L, SS≤ 5mg/L, petroleum ≤ 1 mg/L, turbidity≤ 5 mg/L, total alkalinity≤ 250 mg/L, total hardness ≤ 200 mg/L, chlorine ion≤ 35 mg/L, iron ion≤ 0.3 mg/L, total phosphorus≤ 3mg/l, conductivity ≤ 1000μs/cm, reaching national standard of water reuse as circulation cooling water backup and saving¥2,984,100 for the enterprises per year.
