In this paper, nanometer porous titania powders were prepared under hydrothermal conditions by employing β -cyclodextrin(CD) and EO20PO70EO20(P123) as templates, and characterized by XRD, BET, N2 adsorption - sorption, BAS-100W, EIS, et al. The effects of the pH value , template content, hydrothermal temperature, hydrothermal time, removing template method on the structure, photocatalytic and photoelectric properties of porous titania were discussed. The results indicated that the crystalline size of the samples was quite uiform from 5 nm to 6 nm, the most probable pore size was about 4.3 nm, the BJH pore size distribution was well narrow from 3 to 5 nm, the BET specific surface area was 216.2 m2g-1 and photocatalytic performance was well withβ -CD/TiO2 =60 wt%. The crystalline size of the samples by taking P123 as template was about 12.7 nm, the most probable pore size was about 17.8 nm, the BJH pore size distribution was wide from 5 to 35 nm, the BET specific surface area was 68 m2g-1and the prepared samples in acid conditions had better photocatalytic performance. The porous membrane electrodes with3 -CD/TiO2 =40wt% showed the better photoelectric performance, because the proper porous structure can increase the absorbed dye amount, and benefit to the redox materials diffusion, migration, the photo-induced carriers transportation at the interface of electrode and electrolyte.
