The most great deal of calcium carbide is produced in China than other country in the world, at the same time, produces a great deal of industry discard residue-calcium carbide residue. Studying how to validly disposal calcium carbide residue is a very necessary topic.The main composition of the calcium carbide residue is calcium hydroxide, which can be as the raw material of calcium, And along with the development of the society, more nanosized calcium carbonate is needed, so this text carried on a research on making use of the calcium carbide residue to produce nanosized calcium carbonate.Take the calcium carbide residue and the carbon dioxide air as raw material respectively. After be washed, filtered ,dried , calcined and assimilated at a certain temperature; adding some dispersant, calcium carbide residue can be used for the production of nanosized calcium carbonate by the method of carbonizing. And by DTA/TG, XRD, SEM, TEM, the laser granularity instrument, color monitoring instrument etc, analyzing the raw material and product which involved in the experiment process.The fresh calcium carbide residue can be used to produce nanosized calcium carbonate after washed, filtered ,dried .digested, however the white degree is lower. The calcium carbide residue that placed over a long period of time through the same dispose can not get the nanosized calcium carbonate, but through to be calcined can produce the nanosized calcium carbonate.The result of the experiment enunciation, the calcium carbide residue can be used to make the nanosized calcium carbonate.
