With the development of our national economy and transportation, bridge construction enters into a brilliant period. However the bridge spans river, lake, valley, and straits, linking the island to the mainland, its geography variable and weather condition complicated. When the bridge was been exposed to atmosphere years and years, it will suffer ineluctable corrosion damage which will seriously influence the bridge's safety reliability, result in severe direct or indirect of economy lose. Each country has thrown in a great deal of manpower, materials and financial to the reaches of anticorrosive coatings of bridge steel structure. Along with the central government put forward to solid protection and reasonable using various resources, building a resource and energy-saving society , carry out the sustainable development in every fields of socio-economic development in the "11th five-year" plan. It is no doubt that it is very important for strengthening the corrosion protection of bridge and raising safe service life of bridge.This paper aim at forms and features of atmospheric corrosion of bridge's anticorrosive coating and comprehensively introduces the atmospheric corrosion environment, discussing the relationship between the corrosion rate of coatings and atmospheric factor by using gray relation analysis, elementary building up national atmospheric corrosion regional graphs in order to provide the reference for anticorrosive design on bridge steel structure; Comprehensively introduces in common use anticorrosive method, its various coatings system under different atmosphere and Application Example; The failure process and its mechanism of anticorrosive coating are analyzed in this paper and the prediction model of coatings base on corrosion area is constructed by using gray theory and inspect data. This prediction model is very easy to used in practice due to the data used in the model is easily been obtained. This is an active explore to life prediction of anticorrosive coating of bridge steel structure and its dynamic management.
