A series of azobenzenes with different electron effect substituents were prepared from diazonium salts and benzoguanamine (BGA). All the azobenzenes were characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis, elemental analysis and ~1H-NMR. The third-order optical nonlinear properties and fluorescence properties were measured. The effects of substituents' electron effect on the third-order optical nonlinear properties and fluorescence properties were investigated. And the effects of concentration and solvents on the fluorescence properties were also discussed. |
