A Intelligent Teaching Aid System, Based On Data Mining And Formulas Found

Educational Innovation is the soul of a nation, and the inexhaustible power for the prosperity of a country. New teaching ideas must be supported by the correspondent teaching methods. With the rapid development of modern computer technology and information technology, many new technologies which are applied to the field of education promote the progress of education technology, and add new content to modern education technology. Artificial intelligence is one of the important directions for the development of information technology. The research of intelligent teaching aids has been conducted in many countries. The developmental direction of the intelligent teaching instrument is the intelligence and small-scale.The characteristics of our teaching aids are low intelligent level and huge systematic size. These teaching aids limit the learner's creativity and imagination.At present, only the TI Company in USA has successfully developed Graphic Calculator which is portable and capable of Knowledge Discovery. But it still uses traditional Data Fitting in Formula Discovery. It is a question in traditional Data Fitting that small changes of determinant element will lead to a significant change in the solution. In addition, the formula which is discovered by Graphic Calculator is only a form of polynomials, which is poor understanding.In order to solve this problem, this project studies a kind of intelligent system of teaching aid based on Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, knowledge discovery, and small-sized embedded system.This paper did an in-depth study of FDD (Formula Discovery from Data) basic theory, and improved the Calculation Error, Function library functions, Search criteria, and Error comparison. On this basis, we realized improved FDD System around the basic idea of FDD. The improved system can do Formula mining for experimental data which imported by learners, and show the formula of the experimental data in the form of primary function. Through numerous experiments, the improved system is better than old system in results of the Formula Discovery. In addition, the improved system can output the process and result of the Formula Discovery in the form of graphics though its powerful graphics display.The improved FDD System provided a prototype algorithm for the research of Intelligent Teaching Aid Base on Embedded System, so it leads to a groundbreaking research results in entire project.
