Recently, extensive attention has been drawn in the field of materials science to the preparation and characterization of metal chalcogenides with special morphologies and particle size due to their interesting properties and potential applications. In this thesis copper sulfides particles with different morphologies and stoichiometries were prepared using copper sulphate and thiourea as reactors, water / ethylenegly as solvents through changing the volume of water / ethylenegly react times and react temperature by a hydrothermal/solvothermal method. X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) techniques were used to characterize the calcined samples to study the effect of synthesis time, impregnant compose (volume) and the concentration of surfactant (SDS, DDS, SDBS) on the morphologies and stoichiometries of copper sulfides that we made. The obtained results were as follows:1. At 130℃, with the increase of react time, the stoichiometry of the sulphide products became bigger, the morphologies of the products also changed; The varying of the solvens have an influence on the morphologies, but not have an influence on the stoichiometry.2. At 160℃, with the increase of react time, the stoichiometry of the sulphide products became bigger, the morphologies of the products changed from flower to sphere.3. At 130℃, copper sulfides particles in the shape of hollow sphere were prepared for 9 h when the volume ratio of Water/Eg by a hydrothermal method.4. The concentration of surfactants (SDS, DDS, SDBS) have an influence on the morphologies of the products, but does not appear to dramatically influence the stoichiometry of the copper sulfide crystals.
