Due to their carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and teratogenicity, as well as persistence and bioaccumulation, the organic chlorine pollutant has gained utmost attention as contaminants of threat to human health. Pine needles can accumulate organohalogens from the ambient air, which are, hence, able to serve as a biomonitor to evaluate the levels of organochlorinated contaminants in the atmospheric environment. In this study, using gas chromatography (GC/ECD) and mass spectra (GC/MS) to study organochlorines pollutant in pine needle of Chinese city is for the purpose of understanding organic pollutant distribution and origin situation in environment of our country city. The aiming is to fulfill the POPs international joint pledge for our country , to provide the scientific basis, provides the effective data support for our country and even the global organic halogen pollutant model establishment, and to provide the correlation data of the inhabitant health danger economic appraisal research from this causes. It may be background basis for control strategy of the organic chlorine pollutant contamination, for the elimination pollution measure and for the correlation laws.This article innovation spot lies in studying the organic chlorine pollutant in 15 Chinese city atmosphere using the pine needle as the plant monitor, with GC/ECD and GC/MS to determine the density of typicial organic chlorine pollutant such as HCH, DDT, PCBs, has fully displayed high accurate degree and sensitiveness by GC/ECD and GC/MS. Simultaneously has studied the isomer distribution, and has carried on the preliminary discussion to the source of organic chlorine pollutant. The main conclusions are summarized as folows:1. The method of GC/ECD and GC/MS for determination of organic chlorine pollutant in pine needle has been established. Recoveries of the organic chlorine pesticide and PCBs rate is HCHs, 90~107% %; DDTs, 89~105% %; PCBs, 79~118% %. The relative standard deviation (BSD) is lower than 14%. The checking limit of OCPs is 0. 008-0. 07 ng/g, PCBs is 0.015-0.09 ng/g ( S/N=3), this method definitely can met the requirements of OCPs analysis by EPA (recovry range: 100 %±40 % ).2. Analysis content level and distribute the mode of OCPs in pine needle of 15 cities in our country;Found out the OCPs" fingerprint" pollutant of each city, and carried on the preliminary exploration to the OCPs pollution source .The OCPs contents range in pine needle of 15 cities in our country respectively is: 2 HCH:2. 7~60. 7 ng/g;ΣDDTs:0. 9~15. 1 ng/g, explained in our country environment the OCPs pollution condition to have had the distinct improvement, but some city OCPs pollution is still serious. Through the correlation analysis, the source of HCHs in our country environment mainly comes from the historical usage, but also a part comes from recently Lindane' s use; DDT and a DDE pollution part comes from the historical use, a part came from using impure dicofol.3. Analysis content level and Contents and isomer distribution of PCBs in pine needle of 15 cities in our country, and carried on the preliminary exploration to the PCBs pollution source. The PCBs contents range in pine needle of 15 cities in our country respectively is: 22. 3~110 ng/g, dry weight (dw); Overall speaking in our country environment PCBs pollution condition had the distinct improvement, but in individual city the content of PCBs in pine needle was still high; And, contaminating to stems from the exploration having carried out a first step. the whole nation 15 cities sampling pine needle middle SIGMAPCBs contents range is: 22. 3~110 ng/g , dry weight (dw); Overall speaking in our country environment PCBs pollution condition had the distinct improvement, but in individual city pine needle the content of PCBs was still high ; PCBs in pine needle of 15 Chinese cities, holds the quite high proportion by two chlorine and the trichloro substitution product, occupies total PCBs separately above 30% and 25%; PCBs In our country environment mainly comes from transformer divulging, the factory pollution (for example Paper industry, Electroplate factory, Printing factory, Chemical factory, Storage battery factory, Bleaching assistants factory and so on), the pollution of trash burning down.
