This paper present the typical process flow of overseas carbonyl nickel technology and reviews the merits and demerits of atmospheric pressure, medium-pressure, and high-pressure carbonyl. According to the charact-eristics of our nickel resources and alloy from them that the medium pressure carbonyl nickel refining process is most suitable in China. This paper research on a new type reactor which is the one suitable for our nickel resources. And the structure of inner spiral flight not only influen-ces the throughput and technics effect, but also decides the fatigue life of the reactor. So the research on the inner spiral flight is meaningful for the carbonyl nickel engineering.Firstly, we researched the six models of solid flowing in the new type reactor. And conditions of solid slipping in the new type reactor was set by strength balance analysis among solid gravity, friction, and up-force by spiral flight. And the limit force on the spiral flight was working out by the force balance analysis. Then, advises were given to design the major parameters of reactor' rotate speed, screw angle, granularity of solid and the height of spiral flight.The 3-Dimensional finite element analysis model and its mechanical modal in new type reactor were been built with the ANSYS software. The strength analysis of the spiral flight under the action of solid was performed, and the dangerous section was selected to check with standard date. With the weld of different thick blocks, that 0.1mm crack was supposed, and fracture mechanics was used to estimate the fatigue life of the spiral flight. Then, the S-N fatigue life curve was drawing.At last, the major factors influencing the strength of the spiral flight were found out using the orthogonal test method with five factors and four levels. The result was that thread pitch,diameter,thickness,fan angle and welding foot. With the limits of allowing strength and designing life,the optimization structure parameters were recommended.
