Electro-brush plating is an important technology in mechanism maintaining and maintaining, and its one of the demonstrate technologies of surface engineering. Electro-brush plating possesses the characteristics of convenient and high efficiency, and it is widely applied in the area of mechanism maintaining and strengthening. However, during the application, it was found that the brush plating coating performed unsatisfied properties in the condition of high temperature and thermal wear. This restricts the application range of brush plating. The study aiming at this problem promotes the present and the development of the composite coating prepared by brush plating. Therefore, the application of composite coatings obtained by brush plating technique will be usedwidely.In the paper, the brush electro-plating SiC/Ni-P composite coatings and its strengthening on the die and mould were studied. On the base of parameters optimization of the electric brushing coating SiC/Ni-P composite brush plating coatings were co-deposited by adding some SiC particle and surfactants into the Ni-P electrobath and rightly adjusting operating process parameters. The microstructure and surface morphology of composite coatings were observed with metalloscope and SEM, its element composition and structure were investigated by EDS and XRD.These analysis results showed that composite brush plating coatings with equality SiC particle could intermit subrtance plating continuity and lighten inner stress of plating accumulation. It could depress the craze incline of the brush plating by appropriately modulating the solution composition and operating process parameters. It would advance the capability of the composite brush plating.Neutral salt spray corrosion test results showed that the corrosior, resistance of SiC/Ni-P composite coatings was superior to that of Ni-P brush plating coatings.The high temperature oxidation experiment results showed that the oxidation resistance of composite coatings was superior to that of Ni-P coatings. The experiment results showed that their oxidation kinetics curves followed closely a parabolic oxidation law, indicating that the oxidation reaction was controlled by diffusion. The results showed the SiC/Ni-P composite brush plating coatings had better oxidation resistance than Ni-P alloy coatings. The application of the SiC/Ni-P composite coatings on bestrow pull extend mould increases the expection of life.In all, the SiC/Ni-P composite brush plating techmics succeed to preparate the corrosion resistance and high temperature oxidation and tiny crack inclination composite brush plating. It could increase the mould use lifes. Because of adding to the SiC particle, it evidence could depress the tiny crack incline of the plating and obtain the excellent capability.
