As optical precision manufacturing develops , aspheric surface has been applied more and more in the optical system, and now it is possible to manufacture high-precision aspheric surface with large aperture. However, in the recent few years, the limitation of the testing methods has been the great obstacle for the developing of the industry of the aspheric surface. Now there are various testing methods such as lens compensator, computer-generated hologram(CGH), sub-aperture stitching and radial shearing testing, they have their own advantages, but also with certain disadvantages, so it is urgent to consider a new testing method which is high-precision, anti- interference, fast-testing and common-use.Based on the testing theory of the interference testing and lens compensator testing, this paper made several researchs about the basic theoretical problems, including:Summarized traditional testing methods and basic characteristic of the aspheric surface, and went deep into some aspheric concepts, which can be a great guide for the aspheric testing.Discussed the character of the interference testing, analyzed the testing error, novelly calculated differentiation formula of the best-fit sphere.Ray tracing is necessary in some testing methods. This paper made a research about the ray tracing in the real optical system. Vectors calculating method was given for tracing sphere while optimizing method was used for tracing aspheric surface. The simulation was done, which effectively solved the tracing model problem.Fringe phase recovering is very important in the interference testing, which is also the difficulty in the afterward computer calculation. Fourier transform was improved to recover more interferograms.The data fitting of wavefront can further extract useful imformation and delete some aberration in the wavefront data. This paper discussed the zernike data fitting method, and novelly put forward pseudoinverse data fitting, and finally combined both of the methods, where a new data fitting method was formed.The work done in this paper can afford certain theoretical foundation and calculation method for present testing ways, and it is also useful for putting forward new testing method.
