Based on lots of published papers either domestic or overseas, novel phophorylated phosphazene compounds were synthesized successfully in indirect and direct ways respectively. The phosphate compound DOPO was induced by two steps. 4-hydroxybenzaldenhyde (4-HBA) reacted with hxacyclorotriphosphazene(HCCP)through nuclioatric substitution reaction first, and then continued to react with DOPO by additive reaction to give THBDO. The thermal stability of THBDO was evaluated accordingly.Another way to induce phosphate compound into the phosphazene system directly by the reaction between hexacyclorotriphosphazene (HCCP) with 2 equiv of 2,2'-dihydroxybiphenyl produced one of the reagents [N3P3Cl2(O2Cl2H8)2](DCCP),and Diphenyl chlorophosphate with ethanol gave the other reagent [C2H5OP(O2Cl2H8)2](DPEP). And then DCCP reacted with DPEP at 210℃under magnetic stirrer in nitrogen atmosphere to give a new type of phospazene compound [N3P3(OP(O2Cl2H8)2)2(O2Cl2H8)2](DPPPZ). The product was characterized by 31P-NMR, 1H-NMR spectroscopy , elemental analysis. Its thermal degradation behavior was investigated with TGA with onset temperature 330.6℃. The combustion behaviors of these DPPPZ-PC samples were evaluated by the UL-94 test on a CZF-3 type instrument, and with the content of 12 wt%, the blends passed V-0 for UL-94 test.
