Resourceful zinc-lead ores are found in southwest of China, most of which are complicated sulphide and intractable oxide, that's difficult to recover valuable metals economically by traditional flotation or metallurgy.Detailed morphological analysis of ore and experiment under various factors are studied according to the mineralogical analyses of low-grade zinc-lead oxide ores. Kinetic researches into vulcanization mechanism are engaged to this kind of ores, besides, a study of beneficiation pharmacy after vulcanization is given. A new technology of press vulcanization with high temperature and flotation to treat low-grade and complex lead-zinc oxide ores is presented.Testing of cure conditions on low-grade zinc-lead oxide ores suggest that conditions such as cure time, cure temperature, ore fineness, liquidtosolid ratio and vulcanizator dosage are all have influence on vulcanization of oxide ores. Optimal conditions: temperature 220°C, time 180, is selected base on the data of orthogonal sheet. After the pretreatment , sulfide percentage of zinc reach to 60~70%. Basically achieved the desired objectives.Using press vulcanization with high temperature to treat low-grade zinc-lead oxide ores combine the metallurgical and beneficiation process, suitable to handing many kinds of oxide ores, no needs of special grinding and desliming process, is a successful method to increase the recovery of zinc and lead from ore mine by common flotation.
