The ceramic/glass fiber composite component made up of high performance have a broad application prospect in the light-weight process of the special vehicles Usually, after-processing is necessary for the lightweight composite components before assembling, Remarkably, hole drilling is the main form, this thesis presented an intensive and systematical study on machining technologies of lightweight composite components, thus providing technical supports for the application of lightweight composite components.Based on analyzing the characteristic of ceramic and glass fiber composite, the diamond trepanning drill is selected, and its structure, making technology and main capability parameters are also researched and ascertained; mechanical properties and machining mechanism of component materials of ceramic/glass fiber composite component researched; Through SEM observations of drilling holes surfaces, The removal mechanisms of glass fiber composites and ceramics are analyzed, the machining mechanisms of the two materials with the hot-pressed sintering diamond trepanning drill are researched.Under the condition of the constant feed forces and with regarding the machining efficiency as the major index, the influence regularities machining technology parameters to machine the ceramic/glass fiber composite component are studied; through the orthogonal tests, the tool parameters to machine the ceramic/glass fiber composite component are optimized.With regarding the wear of diamond bits as the major index, the relation of the wear of diamond bits to technology parameters researched through the single factor tests: the relations of wear of diamond bit versus axial service load and the relations of wear of diamond bit versus drilling speed.
