The explosion characteristics and the safeguard and protection on the RDX dust were studied experimentally by using 20 L-Sphere and 1.2L Hartmann tube.Firstly,the influence of different factors on the dust explosion were researched.The factors were divided into three kinds which were the self-ignition of the RDX dust,the dust physics state and the environment factor.At the aspect of the self-ignition of the RDX dust,the lower limit of explosion and the minimum ignition energy were studied.It had been demonstrated experimentally that the lower limit of explosion of RDX was at about 70g/m~3. The ignition energy of the mixture of RDX and aluminum was smaller with the RDX dust size smaller.The influence of the dust size to the characteristics of RDX dust were researched.It has been demonstrated that the smaller the dust size,the bigger the explosion pressure and the pressure rise rate of RDX were.The sphere temperature,the dust turbulance and the ignition energy were researched at the aspect of environment factor.It was proved that the rise of the environment temperature and the ignition energy could only strengthen the pressure rise rate,but not the explosion pressure.Secondly,it has been demonstrated that there was an strengthening effect on the explosion pressure and the pressure rise rate of RDX dust when the aluminum,graphite,the acetal and the petroleum aether was added and on the contrary,an restraining effect was found when water and calcium carbonate added.All those experimental results above had provided an potential reference value on studying and utilizing the dust explosion characteristics as well as on studying and exploring safeguard measurement.At last,summarizing the experiment results of this article,an index estimate system was built at the background of fuzzy theory and would give some help and reference to the studying and risk prediction of some similar dust explosion.
