Panzhihua Steel Group is devoted to making the famous brand of electrical home appliances steel in our country. It can bring Panzhihua Steel Group enormous economic benefits and prominent social benefit, that promoting products marketing and benefiting electrical home appliances users by technical support. During the process of designing, developing new products and using steel sheet, the domestic electrical home appliances producers launch traditional work that trying mould and mending mould, mainly depending on experience. As the upriver products supplier, Panzhihua Steel Group should get involved in users' product development and production process actively, offer them support for selecting and using materials, help them cut down the product developing period, and reduce the manufacturing cost.It is a very complicated mechanics process of the stamping of steel sheet. For involving the multiple non-linear processes, various questions of stamping are very stubborn. People adopt computer simulation technology to calculate the forming process, which makes it possible, that making accurate analysis of various phenomena during the process. But computer simulation technology involves several key theory technologies, such as yield criterion of materials, contact and friction, finite element method, element technology, judgment and prediction of products' failure, etc. So, select the above technologies reasonably and adopt relevant parameters basing on properties of Panzhihua Steel's products, those are the decisive factors for accuracy and validity of simulation results.In this paper, based on large amount of literature and practice, FEA software, element type and yield criterion were reasonably selected, and relevant parameters of preprocess were confirmed rationally. Through forming limit analysis of electrical home appliances' parts owning typical forming styles, it is studied that the function characteristics and function results of influencing factors from materials and processing, which offered the beneficial reference basis for preventing stamping crack under different conditions. By calculation and analysis of new products form, the scientific foundation, how to improve product structure, optimize process plan and blank dimension, and select Panzhihua Steel's materials reasonably, was given. Referring practical properties of Panzhihua Steel's materials, computer simulation technology was used to help electrical home appliances producers optimize materials selection of current products, and give suggestions that reducing material trademark of some parts.The study in the paper offered a large number of suggestions to electrical home appliances users of Panzhihua Steel Group, which played a positive role in cutting down product development cycle, reducing material, and laid the foundation for further promotion of Panzhihua Steel's materials.
