Because of the large number of mining for the metallurgical industry and the ore grade reduced gradually will be in the course of processing a large amount of powder ore,and these sources of ore powder broader and cheaper,but directly,a large number have joined furnace smelting technology will seriously affect the economy indicators,therefore, manganese iron ore block is made to reduce China's manganese alloy production costs and improve manganese ferroalloy market competitiveness of one of the effective measures.Manganese ore powder made block has two main ways:sintering method,pelletization. On pelletization in accordance with the ball into methods of making the ball and pressing the ball,the ball is now mainly made of the equipment is pelletizer disk,the disk-made ball molding methods require very small size of the raw materials,production needs manganese ore powder on the raw materials for fine grinding,which will not only result in increased investment in equipment,energy consumption increased,and would generate more serious dust,causing environmental pollution.The cold-pressed pellets of the equipment is the main application of the roller briquetting machine and its process simple,simple equipment, an area of small,easy to operate,less investment and start fast,and low consumption,the adaptability of raw materials,low production costs,less pollution,etc.In recent years,with growing tension energy,fuel prices increasing significantly,without high temperature baking and through compression molding method of making block,as a manganese ore powder processing technology and the increasing importance.In view of manganese and the characteristics of the building blocks made by cold-pressing pellets method is an effective block approach.Especially in some smaller investment,powder ore handling capacity is not big enterprises,the implementation of the process so far may be wise.This paper mainly using Yunnan Dounan Industry Corporation' sample Manganese carried out a lot of experimental studies,Through exploration of the pilot study to find a solution ore powder into an effective way to the ball.With manganese dust,3 # manganese ore powder,bituminous coal as raw material,add composite binder,a Cold pressed into pellets of the rule of law teams.This paper is mainly research on manganese powder concentrate on cold-pressed pellets,impact of pellet mechanical strength factors and the consolidation,and through experiment determining the specific process parameters:raw material component was 30 percent and 70 percent manganese ore powder mixed use;Concentrate moisture control at 3%to 5%is more appropriate for making the ball;compound binder A+B,that is,6 percent liquid waste pulp 3 percent sodium silicate mixed use;pressure of 40 MPa suitable molding;drying conditions for temperature 200℃,time 180 min.In the best of conditions, the green ball dropping Strength:9.1 times/0.5 m,compressive strength of 60.34 kg;the drying ball dropping Strength:25.3 times/0.5 m,compressive strength of 184.63 kg.These indicators can fully meet the requirements of industrial production.So cold press method is a team to deal effectively with manganese ore and manganese dust.
