With the development of high technology, Indium and Indium compounds reaction have been widely used in various areas such as in the electronic, semiconductor, organic compounds. Three of indium chloride can apply in both organic reactions and solar cell; three indium iodide can be used in electronic, instrumentation, the metallurgical industry and optical technologies. The study of high-purity indium chloride anhydrous and three indium iodide on production technology can promote the development of related industries in China, it is of great significance. This article studies the preparation of high-purity anhydrous indium trichloride and indium triiodide, 4 N of indium and analar hydrochloric acid, analar iodine as raw materials and n-butanol, n-heptane as dehydrating agent . Making high-purity anhydrous indium trichloride and indium triiodide by a microwave and microwave organic solvent gradually warming. Using TG-DTA thermal analysis, as well as through thermodynamic calculations on the four hydrate indium trichloride for the dehydration process of the theoretical analysis, and the dehydration mechanism for the preparation of anhydrous indium trichloride by organic solvent dehydration was discussed. indium - iodine binary phase diagram for the preparation of indium triiodide was studied. By studying conventional heating method as dosage of organic solvent, the ratio, heating temperature, heating time, the concentration of iodine, and other factors affecting the conditions of the three indium chloride and iodide three indium, and microwave heating prepared for the high-purity indium chloride anhydrous and three indium iodide, and the two methods were compared. Through the analysis of XRD, the characterization of ICP-AES on the high-purity indium trichloride anhydrous indium triiodide .The experimental results show that: 1. The best conditions for preparation of high-purity anhydrous indium trichloride by microwave and organic solvents is: control temperature of atmospheric distillation in the 120-140°C, temperature of decomposition in the 240-250°C, the vacuum for 6-10 kPa, time of decomposition 10-20 min, the ratio (mixed solvent / H2O)is 30, available anhydrous indium trichloride, will be in the 300-350℃can be purified to99.9974% of the purity and white high-purity anhydrous indium trichloride crystal, the yield can reach 97-98%.2. The best conditions for preparation of high-purity indium triiodide by microwavewere as follows: control the vacuum 60-100 kPa, excess of iodine is 20% , thesynthesis temperature is 180℃, synthesis time for about 20 min, then it can receiveindium triiodide, it will be sublime in the 180-190℃and it can be purified to99.9975% of the purity yellow high-purity indium triiodide, the yield can reach 99percent.
