In recent years, the design, synthesis, structure and property on the rare earth complexes are very active. Especially the research on rare earth metals and acid ligand with sulphur atom complexes has become a hot research.. Therefore, the systematic study of such complex synthesis, crystal structure and nature, not only for the design and synthesis of new functional materials provide practical approach, but also for enriched basic chemical theories. In this paper, using sulphur acid ligands thiodiglycolic acid, under the conditions of mixed solution, 14 kinds of rare-earth solid complexes have been synthesied, four crystal structures have been reported and analysized of no reported in the literature. The specific heat capacities and the enthalpy changes of the liquid-phase reactions have been measured, and the enthalpy changes of the solid-phase reactions have been calculated for a series of rare earth complexes using of the RD496-CK 2000 thermal conductive calorimeter, ByTG-DTG means, the mechanisms of the thermal decomposition of a series of complex were speculated, the kinetic parameters of the first dehydration stages phase were calculated and the most frequently used mechanism functions were obtained.
