Indolin-2-ones is a novel tumor inhibitor targeting vascular endothelial and platelet-derived growth factor receptor tumor. The growth of solid tumors is dependent on the formation of new capillaries from existing blood vessels which may suffice to supply oxygen and nutrients. At present, inhibition of vascular endothelial and platelet-derived growth factor has attracted widespread interest as a new approach to anticancer therapy. In this dissertation, three feasible ways of synthesizing indolin-2-ones were studied, summarized and designed. Comparing the ways, the third way using the original raw material(t-Butyl-3-oxobutyrate) was chosen. Affected by time and other factors, the every midst product of indolin-2-ones was synthesized and the mechanisms of important reaction were discussed. The application and foreground of indolin-2-ones were also viewed. The structure of the synthetic products were characterized by appearance, melting point, infrared(IR), mass spectra(MS) and ~1H nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR). The results proved: the structures and performance indexes of the products conformed to the design requirement, and the yield of every reaction was good. It was prognosticated that the way using the original raw material(t-Butyl-3-oxobutyrate) to synthesize indolin-2- ones was novel, practical and effective.
